Back Pain or Miracles?

Posted by Marietta chiropractor on December 13, 2013

Actually, I’m quite bored with back pain.  I know.  I know.  That’s what chiropractors do…fix back pain.  Sadly, it IS what most chiropractors do.  Cricks, backaches and strains, in fact.

I say “sadly” because that’s what probably 90% of all chiropractors do, deal with backaches.  In the beginning, chiropractic was known for all sorts of miracles that happened in the chiropractor’s office.  The first “patient” was a janitor whose hearing was restored when a bone in his spine was re-aligned.  In the decades since that fateful day in 1895, millions have sought healing and wholeness by getting “adjusted” after all of Medicine had failed them.

You know, only about 10% of the nerves in your body are responsible for pain.  Yet probably 90% of the money spent on chiropractic is on treating pain.  What happens to the OTHER 90% of the nervous system?  THAT part is what is responsible for our HEALTH and QUALITY OF LIFE!

If you REALLY want a better life, you should find yourself a good chiropractor who has plans, fees and systems built on lifetime care for you and your entire family.  I’d even prefer that you find a chiropractor that specializes in specific adjustments of the top bone or two in your neck.  When you start functioning closer to the way God designed you, you’ll start seeing miracles both in your health AND your entire life experience.

Try it, especially if you need a miracle.

Chiropractic’s Corrupt Education System

Posted by Marietta chiropractor on December 6, 2013

I am urging the US Dept. of Education to rescind the status of CCE (Council on Chiropractic Education) as the accrediting authority for the chiropractic profession on the following grounds.

Student Loan Default Rates – Partly due to the course load imposed by CCE requirements, the cost of a chiropractor’s education far exceeds the average earnings of the typical practitioner.

Failure Rate of New Chiropractors – Partly due to CCE requirements, students are not given sufficient skills to succeed in practice.  Many MUST supplement their chiropractic education with expensive practice management programs.

Homogenization of Programs – CCE allows little differentiation in programs from one school to the next.  This ensures that the failed model CCE promotes is uniform across the profession.  Hence, innovation and improvement are stymied.

Contempt for US Dept. of Education – CCE has been given numerous opportunities to clean up their act to little or no avail.  Because they have no competition, they feel little compulsion to comply with USDOE directives UNTIL it is time for their review.

Integrity IS a Problem – CCE has continually restructured its organization to maneuver around areas that restrict it from achieving its political ends.  They used this to try to close the largest school in the profession WITHOUT that school having ANY representation either on its Board of Directors or Commission on Accreditation.  It took a Federal Court injunction to thwart CCE’s illegal effort.

Dereliction of Duty – If accrediting authorities are vested with the responsibility of protecting both students AND the American taxpayer, CCE has been nothing short of dereliction of duty, possibly even fraud and negligence.  This rogue agency has abused its authority granted by the US Dept. of Education and created an untenable situation for this profession, the Federal Government and thousands of chiropractic students and graduates.

In closing, I believe the chiropractic profession would be better served if this rogue agency (CCE) were obliterated, altogether.  Granted, there will be some turmoil and inconveniences as states that have mandated CCE accreditation for licensure.  But, CCE has shown its contempt for USDOE’s standards for accreditation, the desires of the chiropractic profession as a whole and most particularly the well-being and potential success of virtually all those pursuing careers as chiropractors.  Regional accreditation and competition between chiropractic schools would lower the cost AND improve the quality of chiropractic education.  This noble profession deserves better…much better.

Chemical Imbalance?

Posted by Marietta chiropractor on December 5, 2013

OK.  So why in the heck is a chiropractor talking about chemical imbalance in the first place?  Don’t they deal with the spine and bones?  And, what am I going to learn about my chemical imbalances by reading this blog post, anyway?  Great questions!

I’m a different kind of chiropractor.  My focus is on how your body functions…your WHOLE body.  I deal primarily with the top bone in your neck BECAUSE it affects virtually every function in and of your body, especially your body chemistry.  “How?” you say.  The top bone in the spine, called the Atlas, can cause pressure on your brain stem.  Pressure on your brain stem can affect the function of your hypothalamus is connected to both your endocrine (hormone) and nervous system and plays a vital role in the process known as homeostasis, or the dynamic steady state (balance) throughout the body.

Misalignment of the top bone in the neck (Atlas or C1) can cause all sorts of problems, including chemical imbalances which are often cited as the cause for a myriad of health problems, including psychiatric problems.  Correction of this chiropractic problem has been often been credited with changing lives after all other interventions had failed miserably.

There are lots of reasons why one’s body chemistry might be out of balance.  But, trying to balance it by adding more chemicals is tricky, at best.  It’s a guessing game that can have devastating effects on one’s life and health.  The chiropractic approach is to simply remove stress on the brain stem caused by misalignment of the bones in the spine and allowing the body to do what it was designed to do, properly and completely.

If you’ve been told you have a chemical imbalance, maybe you should check out a good chiropractor.Image
